Let's go to the Beach Beach

So I've booked a holiday in 3 weeks time and I'm so excited!!! I can't wait to get away and get some much needed sun (I've become so pale..I really need to get my tan on). London has been getting warmer and it's great but I need HEAT..like get tanned in 2 days sort of heat! So I'm off away in search of sunnier climes and sandier beaches! Woo! And even though I have a couple of weeks to wait, I can't help myself thinking about seaside outfits and holiday wishlists. So here is my beach break moodboard.

First off, I will be packing anything that is lacey/crochet looking. That is just the epitome of effortless beach style. Im just dreaming of being on white sandy beaches, wearing my bikini with a crochet dress thrown on top or even just strolling around in a bikini top and white lacey shorts! White is a must on holiday anyway because it looks so good with a tan! Denim is another obligatory trend that must be in one's suitcase..vintage denim shorts also look so cool thrown with a bikini and for me a denim jacket is the signature "Im on holiday and feeling super chilled" style. Some form of crop tops should also be coming with you on holiday..again they look great on the beach or even with high waisted skirts when browsing through town or going for meals. Kiminos are yet another beach staple which look good with bikinis and with a strappy top and shorts. Pair it with funky sunglasses and a floppy hat you'll have an edgy yet boho look. Oh goodness, Ive been talking about beach wear and haven't even mentioned the most important item: the swimsuit.  I'm loving Triangl bikinis right now and really want to order the one featured above. Topshop do lovely scallop bikinis at the moment, which look really feminine and complement curves. Personally, I love high waisted bikinis because they give you longer looking legs and as I'm more curvy lower down my body, I like to create that kind of illusion. The printed one featured above is perfection!

For finer dining or simply less beachy gear, I intend to pack jumpsuits and printed playsuits. I particularly love loose fitting jumpsuits paried with floppy hats and big sunglasses....such a suave look. As for playsuits, I have hundreds, I'm crazy about them. Simple playsuits are great for the beach but Ive featured a printed one for a more interesting take, which actually comes off as more sophisticated funnily enough. I'd wear something like that with a bold lip colour and sandals to dinner. As for footwear, I tend to live in flip flops on holiday but I've always wanted to try gladiator sandals. They just look so easy, cool and stylish and add something extra to casual outfits such as tshirt and shorts and to dressier outfits, such as the printed playsuit. As for the espadrilles, I've always been a fan of them. I know the craze at the minute is all about slips ons and I do agree they are trendy but I worry that is all they are and soon they will go out of fashion. Espadrilles are timeless summer pieces and again look so simple and effortless. For an interesting twist, go for the leather ones from Topshop. Now, all I need to pack is a stylish beach bag, some factor 50 suncream (I take skin protection very seriously) some bronzer and my passport and then I'm basically ready to go! I can't wait!!!

P.S. Care to venture a guess on where I be travelling to? I'll give you a clue...it's in Europe.
