Yet another monochrome outfit...I just can't help myself when it comes to black and white because they look so good together and it's so easy to stylishly pair up. I needed this outfit to be easy as well because I had about 20 minutes to get ready for an appointment and then run round town doing errands. Even though this outfit is quite simple, there's a lot of interesting mixes between different styles. For example, I love the play between the smart sleeveless blazer, delicate lace skirt and tough looking boots. I guess I don't play by any rules when it comes to styling myself lol. And then to top it off, I've added some indie, staple detailing by the means of the fedora and the chunky heeled, high top boots...adding some much needed attitude to my look. Those H&M boots are so comfortable btw...Ive been wearing them with everything lately..jeans, dresses, shorts! I've been really impressed by the selection of shoes H&M have on offer this season (as well as their bags). Worth a visit to the store if you're looking for some stylish, summer footwear.
Anyway, that's pretty much it for this outfit. As there is a lot going on with the play of outfit pieces, I've left everything else quite simple e.g. makeup, hair and jewelry. I just added my trusty key pieces e.g. Folli Follie watch, Cartier bracelet, Dash Bracelet, Ray Ban sunnies and Saint Laurent Bag, which are the basics that I always have on with most outfits. Overall, this outfit looks stylish and sophisticated but in a way that still incorporates youth, fun and character. Guess it does draw on elements of indie fashion which is all about being individual...perhaps the labels aren't so unique but the way it has all been put together is my personal expression. Hope you like it xo
