I Be On My (Velvet) Suit & Tie

Zara Velvet Suit

Not feeling the party season dress this year? Stay comfortable, classy and chic in this season's hottest trend: The Velvet Suit! Then add a touch of Kurt Geiger sparkle on your feet for the ultimate festive feel.

If you haven't noticed yet (and you've been living under a rock if not), velvet is everywhere right now! Always a popular choice at Christmas but this year, it has been promoted to Queen Bee status for this party season.

I got hooked off the velvet ankle boot trend at the beginning of autumn but once I saw velvet suits popping up here, there and everywhere I felt like I found the Christmas season winner! Especially this Zara number: velvet and palazzo pants = heaven!! I felt cool, stylish and sexy the moment I tried it on and knew this was what I would wear to every party ever more (a tad dramatic perhaps but watch me!).

To be fair, this outfit can be duplicated a hundred different ways so really, it's the perfect investment. Wear the pants with a cosy jumper Christmas day or the blazer with a shirt and jeans or a dress and heels for New Year's Eve. Looks great each and every way!

Plus, it's the perfect cover up for Christmas turkey belly! Er.. how did I not think of this before?! Goodbye tight and stomach restricting dresses, hello ideal food coma outfit! I can eat all the stuffing I want, sport a food baby and still look goddamn gorgeous! Kinda the answer to most of my prayers.

How do we make it even more festive, you ask? Add some sparkle of course! If you can't shine bright like a diamond at Chrismas, when the bloody hell can you?! Plus, these KG platforms also feature velvet within them, which is a double win for me. Check out Kurt Geiger's occasion shoes for some more festive footwear inspiration.

So, have you decided what you'll be wearing to all your Christmas parties yet? Time's a ticking ladies! xo
