Ren Skincare - Flash Defence Anti-Pollution Mist

Carelle - Ren Skincare

Just a quick check in to say hi, howdy, how you doing. And also to tell you guys about this little product I've started using that is kinda great - I think. Long story short, I've complained to anyone who will listen that after moving to London from the quiet country hills of Surrey, I noticed my acne flared up again. I suffered from acne as a teen but it started to calm down a bit as I moved into "adulthood". Once I started living in the city, as of 3 years ago, my skin got worse again. I blame it on pollution. In truth it could be a whole combination of things but surely pollution isn't helping. I mean, I live in a city with some of the worst polluted streets in Europe (stay away from Oxford Street at all costs) so that can't be doing wonders for anyone's skin. A quick search in Google and most research will provide information on the harmful health effects of living in a overly polluted city, including premature aging of the skin and acne. See, I'm right!

So my best friend surprised me with a gift in the post - the Ren Skincare Flash Defence Anti-Pollution Mist, either because she knew how much I feared the pollution in this city or simply to shut me up from talking about it so much. Either way, it was a great godsend to come home to. It's their new wonder product that boasts the ability to "strengthen the skin's natural defences against oxidative stress" and shield you from the aging effects of environmental pollution.  I've used it everyday for about 2 weeks now and am loving it. I just spritz it on in the morning, after my moisturiser, before I apply makeup and feel nice and protected before I have the face the big bad city. Now, I don't know if it actually does what it says on the tin. Only time will tell, literally.   But it feels great and at least I'm making an effort in protecting my skin in some form. I sleep a little better at night with that thought ;) Anyhoo, this has become a way longer post than I intended. I do love to ramble. Ciao for now xo
