Guess Who's Back?
Carelle's back! Tell a friend ;)
The bad blogger strikes again and I've made an unplanned disappearance from the blog throughout most of May. Whoops, my bad! But May was quite a busy month for me and a lot has happened recently. So I'll run through a quick update and then we can get back to the regularly scheduled programme. In a nutshell, I handed my notice in at my current job and had my last day yesterday. I worked at a mental health centre in Notting Hill for over 2 years and while I enjoyed it and learned so much working there, it was time for progression. But it was such a great experience, where I grew so much professionally and even got promoted to a manager/team leader position; such an accomplishment for me. I'm really gonna miss the whole team because it was like a little family but it's not good bye, it's see you soon. I start my new job working as a digital pr for a new and upcoming online fashion brand next week. Eek! I'm so excited but also super nervous. I've never done anything like this before so it's quite the change but I'm looking forward to a new challenge. Cross your fingers for me! I also recently took a trip to Abuja, Nigeria for a week to visit family. I'll do a separate post about my trip with lots of pictures. That's pretty much it. So it's just been a bit manic trying to sort out paperwork between 2 jobs and appropriately handover and round up everything at my current post. Then my trip to Nigeria was a chance to recoup and rejuvenate before my new start date so there has not been much time to keep up with Carelle. Soz!
But I'm back now, so what's new with you? I got back to UK over the weekend and I have to say, the weather has been anything but appealing. WTF is going on? It's June for goodness sake and I'm dressing like it's November. Not cool, mother nature, not cool. Is it global warming, is someone playing a trick on us? Whatever it is, this weather needs to get its shit together because I'm tired of packing up and unpacking my winter clothes weekly. It's boring and tedious so just stop it! To be honest, I do kinda like this look though so slightly pleased I get to show it off. Never thought I was a beret person, cos let's not lie, it's been done to death and a little cheesy but I'm really feeling myself in these photos. Paired with the round sunnies, it takes me back to the 90s but the coat still keeps it modern. You feeling it too? Special shout out to my best friend Carla who bought the beret for a couple of quid on Ebay and posted it to me as a surprise. Sorry I laughed at you when you bought yours cos now I love mine haha. More soon xo
