Brunch At Dickie Fitz || Fitzrovia
Hi all! It's Monday and we're back at it again. But I thought I'd relive the weekend just gone before I fully resume that 9-5 grind. Saturday was mostly a chill day, though I was gutted about the Germany v Italy result (those penalties were a joke!!). Then Sunday, I met up with my best friend from uni, Carla, and we had a great catch up over brunch at Fitzrovia's new hotspot, Dickie Fitz. An Australian influenced restaurant, it serves yummy dishes with hints of Asian and Californian inspiration. To be honest, once I saw avocado on smashed sourdough and buttermilk waffles, I was sold! The food was good, the ambience was great and the art deco furnishings are any Instagram fiend's dream. Carla and I had plenty of giggles trying to take blogger worthy photos of this joint but it really wasn't hard as everything is so pretty. I predict this to be the new place to be and be seen.
Afterwards Carla and I ambled along Oxford Street and somehow found ourselves fighting bargain hunters in the Zara sale (hands down the best sale ever!). Then after a much needed afternoon nap, we headed to Wembley stadium to see the Queen perform! Beyonce is such an inspiration to us both and actually is part of the foundation of our friendship (one of our first conversations 6 years ago was about how much we both loved her). So it was great to share some of our memories dancing to Beyonce in our university dorm rooms together again and see Beyonce live in action once more. She is just a dream, seriously! Vocals, body, creativity, she has it all. The show was so special, one neither Carla or I will forget for a while.
So after all that excitement, I'm ready to throw myself into the week :) Hope you all had a good weekend too and have an even better week ahead. As always, more soon xo
