It's Friday And I'm Ready To Swing
Can you believe it's been 15 years since Aaliyah passed away? Funnily enough, I was listening to so many of her classic songs yesterday and then suddenly remembered what day it was. I was crushed when I found out the news at 11 years old. She was one of my first idols (yes there was someone before Beyonce, believe it or not) and I really wanted to be like her. I loved her style, her music, her presence on and off stage and she just had the prettiest smile. She clearly made such on an impact on the world cos 15 years after her passing, people still think of her and commemorate her (there were so many posts on Instagram, including one from Queen Bey). That's what's important surely, that she touched so many people for the short time she was here.
So in her spirit, I have channeled a very 90s look here for an easy afternoon in Soho. I love a crop top and mom jeans combo (it's the only way I can wear mom jeans without looking like a mom ha) and I get so many compliments about that cardigan so have been wearing it more often than I'm happy to admit. It might be a teeny bit too warm for it right now though cos it has been absolutely scorching in London lately. On Wednesday, I felt hotter than I did in Malaga. Sheesh! But I don't want to complain too much because before you know it, the clouds take over and it's winter again. So sweaty or not sweaty, as long as there is sunshine, I'm happy.
And that's it for today. Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead. Londoners, who's going to Carnival? I might see you there ;) Bye peeps xo
