Bad Blogger | 3 Days in LA

"When you discuss your love for lust

Just make sure you visit here first, Cali." - Kendrick Lamar

Okay, let's just get this out the way first: I SAW LEONARDO DICAPRIO IN LA! I know it was a few months ago (*cough* six months ago) but I'm still so hyped off of this. I was in the same restaurant as him and I froze, like legit froze! Because what else are you supposed to do? I also walked past Jayden Smith at a vintage market - I actually walked straight past him because I was so excited by the shopping but I was told he was right next to me at one point. Winning!

So yeh LA was pretty awesome! I've been wanting to visit my whole life - I mean, who hasn't?! Having grown up watching The O.C. and 90210 (the original one, not that new nonsense - very much revealing my age here), California just looked like a dream and I'm happy to report back that it didn't disappoint. Despite the always-happy-people and the celebrity obsession out there, I was ready to throw my passport away and convert to the SoCal lifestyle.

But alas my 3 days spent in La La Land came to an end and I had to return to Ol' Blighty (only after a road trip to Vegas, where the boyfriend was forced to take these shots of me en route - working on that Instagram husband game y'know). I did actually try to record some bits for a vlog, high on the idea of life and blogging and content creating and LA vibes but upon returning I had very little motivation to actually edit the thing. Props to people who have the energy and patience to vlog, you guys are the real winners and I don't have it in me. So I made some short GIFs of what we got up to instead. You get the gist.

5 Things to Do with 3 Days in LA

I wished we would have seen and done more but we were there for such a short time and with the city being split into suburbs spread across distant corners (btw you'll definitely need a car in LA, trust me) that take an eternity to navigate through because of dreadful traffic, we pretty much stuck to eating and playing in West Hollywood. Here's what we got up to:

1. Visit the Paul Smith 'Pink Wall', Melrose Avenue

This was legit the first thing I did in LA. Actually no, I went to Shake Shack first then we sought out the famous pink wall.

2. Vintage Shopping at Fairfax Flea Market

Where I basically blanked Jayden Smith - sorry boo, the vintage merch was just too good to take my eyes off it!

3. Vibe at Venice Beach & Santa Monica

The peak of my SoCal transformation! Somebody get me a surfboard, stat!

4. Eat Ice Cream on Rodeo Drive

Wait, you guys can't buy ice-cream and cupcakes out of a machine in London?! Shame.

5. Hike along Runyon Canyon & Hollywood Hills

People in LA love to hike! Views are pretty awesome, potential rattle snake bites are not.

Sigh. Take me back.
