I hope everyone that is reading this is having a really good day. And if you are not, just know that in every new minute that passes you have an opportunity to change that. - Gillian Anderson
Today I’m keeping it short and sweet. Today I don’t have much to say or write or think even. It’s quite refreshing, not having to wrack my brain over some funny story to share or some intellectual fact to drop. You’d be surprised how long it takes me to come up with a new blogpost, essentially because I want to ensure each post adds some semblance of value to whomever is reading it.
So I spent several hours this week, pondering over what topic to share with you all today; what would enrich even the smallest speck of your life? Perhaps I could have discussed my endless struggle with perfectionism again, reminding both myself and you that not being the best at everything is what will help you learn and grow in a way that you never imagined you could. Or I talk about being open to new opportunities, something I’ve been juggling more and more of lately, coercing myself to welcome in new ideas, new people and new prospects. I could have even preached about the importance of getting to know yourself: taking time to understand what you enjoy, what you’re good at, what you need help with - not always being in such a rush to get to where you’re going to be but savouring the time you have to learn about who you’re going to be.
All wonderfully uplifting posts I’m sure, but not for today. I woke up this morning filled with such positive energy and brightness inside of me that all I wanted to do was spread that around to everyone I could. So all I have for you today, whomever you are and wherever you are right now, is an abundance of good will. I wish you nothing but joy on this day, I really do.
I pray for goodness to fill your whole being and touch all those in your life that you come into contact with. If today is not ‘your day’, I hope you find the strength hidden somewhere inside you to see the beauty in something, anything.
Whatever your plans are for the rest of the day, I wish you success in it all. Whether it’s completing a task that you’ve been putting off for a while, working on your side hustle or even just giving yourself some TLC, learn to revel in the smallest of victories because you deserve it. Sleep a little longer, meditate a little harder, smile at someone on a tube carriage, tell someone you’re grateful for their support, read something that nurtures you. My dear beautiful reader, I wish you a very good day! Bisous xxx
